Default New to Chaps

Well - I finally bought some chaps off a friend at work (quite nice, only worn a few times).

I LOVE THEM!!

I've been playing around to determine my temperature tolerance and clothing requirements. I've been riding in the low 40's and sometimes upper 30's here in CT (in the morning). I wear longjohns under jeans, and my legs were ok - but a bit cold . With chaps, they are nice and toasty warm.

I dont' love the look of chaps, but man are they nice to ride with (not to mention the added protection).

Now - just have to remember to remove them before going into a mall, or I may just attract the YMCA crowd!!

It is good to see this post. I might have to try some now that I hear how you like them.

I have both chaps and leather over pants. The pants are just too heavy and cumbersome in my opinion. Chaps fit the bill very nicely for me.

I prefer the leather over pants, total protection, and besides they help you avoid theh "YMCA llok" [8D]

Try www.leatherup.com or www.bransonwholesale.com. They both have great prices.

Matter of fact I'm about to order me a pair.

People were wearing chaps a hundred years before the Village People.

I've found that they look better when you wear pants under them. [sm=happybounce.gif]
