using a DWG front end on my superglide
Hi all, at the risk of sounding stupid, just a quick question. I want to chrome and possible rake out my front end (triple tree) on my 98 super. Can i just pick up the correct year wide glide front end in chrome and have my indy set it up without any other major mods beside wheels spacers, etc? I still have my speedo hooked up with the two pegs to the top tripple tree, so I guess I would also have to find a new mount to place my speedo, but can anyone thing of any other considerations or opinions about doing this?
Lastly, anyone have said DWG chrome front end they are looking to sell at a good price? Thanks

thanks Robbtarra, it does look great. Where did you get the front end wide glide if I can ask? Did you you a kit for the wheels? The light on that triple tree is bottom mounted right? I am asking as my current FXD with stock front end has the light mounted on the top with the visor. How long did it take you to change it out and did you notice any big difference in the ride when you switched out the front end to the wide glide? Thanks

I got the complete front end locally used for 750.00, I did not need a kit as this 21 inch wheell is for the WG, the light is bottom mounted, it took me 4 hours with a lunch in there to install, everything bolted right up no mods, The ride is very nice, and was able to ride it to 75 mph and very stable.

Have you ridin over 75mph at all? or has anyone? I want to do the wide glide trees and loweers or a complete front end but around here the highway speed is 75 and alot of time traffic is at 80 just want to be safe, I'm looking to find the safest way to add the rake for look and the bigger front wheel plus get a diff headlight for looks but gotta be safe at speed.
