Default Who is still riding Dirty

After Six years of riding without a motorcycle endorsement, I finally took the alternate riding course over the weekend and got my Endorsement yesterday. It feels good to be legal. I wish I would have been more responsible and would have done it before. No More Riding Dirty!

I've had the endorsement since 1978... the first year they had it in North Carolina...

Risky riding w/out it IMO. I wouldn't want to give an insurance co. grounds to tell me to go pound sand after a wreck. Here in GA you can get a permit to ride with just a written test (with certain restrictions), but you have to renew it every 6 mos. or so. Makes more sense to go take the riding test and get the M, which stays forever as far as I know. Anybody who can't do a few parking lot maneuvers probably shouldn't be riding anyway.

Had mine since 1975. Funny, when I was in the army I would get 1 or 2 requests a month to go pick up someones motorcycle because they got pulled over and could not present an MC license. That was cool with me cause I got to sample some different bikes.

Back in 99 I found out the hard way that in Illinois if you are caught riding without an M class endorsment, you lose your license for 3 months mandatory.

I’m not bragging, on the contrary, I’m trying to state the obvious: it was very stupid of me not to have done it before.
