Default Big Radius & forward controls

Good morning all,

Can anyone tell me if there is a need to shim/relocate the riders’ right side peg/brake pedal when installing the V&H Big Radius 2-2 on a 2011 FXDC? I have the PDF for the install, it looks like it can stay put, but I thought I read somewhere where that it may be necessary on some Dynas, but now I forget where, maybe I dreamt it..

After poking around on this site, I’ll just ask, I want to go with forward controls eventually, and I will just bite the bullet and get them now if I have to relocate the peg mentioned above. The dealer sounds expensive for the labor here?? I can wrench, but this sounds like a major job on a brand new bike, with precise work and a specialized tool needed on the shifter side of things? I might just take the hacksaw short cut I have read about if I do this myself. Is there a link here?

Opinions?

Thanks in advance!

I'm running the Big Radius 2-1. There should be no need to relocate your footpeg to fit the pipes. V&H does include a spacer to move up the passenger peg on that side for clearance though.

No help on the forwards though, I don't like them.

forwards are easy like sunday monring to put on, took me all of 25 minutes on my 02 lowrider, since you will have the exhaust off for the change out it makes it that much easier (I had to remove my thunderheader to remove the mid controls )

I put the big radius on my Fatbob and had no issues even added a set of mid pegs this week just for another place to put the feet. Mike
