I'm looking for new bars for my 2003 Lowrider. Would like to get as close to stock as possible, but thick enough for internal wiring. Don't want apes, just something low. Anyone have any ideas?
I am wanting to do the same thing to my 09. I went for a ride today and remembered how much I don't like all the wires on the outside of the handle bars!
i have drag bars on my lowrider, and i like them. i just wish they didnt have as much pull back. i have a set of wild one chubbys drilled for internal with a small dent in froint ill sell you for a good price if your intrested.
^^^ same beef with the street slammers. I didn't realize they had that much pull back until after the wires were strung and they were mounted. Low pro solo seat will fix it I think, should push me back 2" I hope
Bought my 07 Low Rider last August and the original owner had put drag bars on it. I instantly hated them, they were not for me. He did give me the stock bars and risers which I installed within a couple of days. This bike was replacing my 08 SB which has gone to the Great Highway in the Sky!!! I was thinking of putting apes on this bike but I really liked the stock bars. Comfort, feel, look and handling. I was out riding with Bigdaddy33 a few weeks ago and he had just installed the Flanders G5 Flat Track handlebars with internal wiring. I sat on his bike and they seemed so familiar, then I looked at my bike and the bars looked so similar. Out came the tape measure and I"ll be damned. They were practically identical. Same width and pull back. I went to there sight and they are only $130. These are the bars that I will be switching to in the future as there are the closest to the stock bars that I have found. Bigdaddy33 did a very nice write up on the bars. The only problem he mentioned was that the bars might have had a slight bend in them which made the bars higher on one side. He did say that they did not seem to effect handling at all and the way we were riding that day it didn't appear that he was having any handling issues at all. I will just check to make sure that the bars are perfect before I mount them as he did not want to exchange them under warranty which Flanders was willing to do.
