What kind of grips are the old ones? Can you heat them up with a hair dryer to loosen the glue? If they are still the stock grips slice them carefully with a razor the length of them and peel them off....

seriously.. razor blade them off..
another trick that works is to put the end of a blow gun up inside the switch end of the grip, a quick burst of air will open them up and they should slide off pretty easily

Default Grips

They grips are a set of Harley aftermarket grips. They are not the stock grips so they can't be cut off with a razer blade.

I'll try the hair dryer idea.

A little bit of heat can go a long way. I just had to remove mine and that was the easiest way to get them off. Good luck. If you have a small pick set you can carefully pry the end open to help the heat get down into the grip. Just be careful and work slowly.
