Interesting Read, I've to check if my 06 FXDI have it.

 

I too became nervous the first time this happened to me at a red light (during the hotter weather and longer riding periods of course). Anyway, after a slow take-off the first time I just figured I needed to roll the throttle some before take-off. Never had a problem with it though. I guess I just always figured it had to do with the engine being hot. Good thread though
