If you can find a seat that will lower you 1" or 1.5" would be the way to go. I would not lower suspension until you ride for a while. A 1" lower seat will feel like a mile. I lowered mine with Progressive 412's and the front drop in kit, plus a LePera Bare Bones solo. That equaled about 2+" total. I am 5'8" 29" inseam I like it, but the longest I ride in a day is 300-325 miles.

Thanks for all of the advice, everyone! I think I'll be trying the seat option first and see how it feels. hddan's comment about a 1" lower seat feeling like a mile makes me real hopeful as the bike is real close to what I want it to be now, just a BIT off. Thanks again!!!

C&C has some quality seats, I'm also running progressive 440 adjustable rear shocks, preload can be adjusted by hand on those. Good luck on the comfort you seek.
