Default sexy legs!

got a quick question for those that have painted their lower legs,is the silver under the clear coat another paint or is it actually the spun aluminum?looking to strip mine down and clear coat them again but want the original look-also if it is paint is it just paint or powder coat?checked the search function and some great write ups on sanding them and painting them but no answers to my question-dont want the bike down long enough right now for powder just want to get the legs prettied up again!

I polished mine on my old electraglide just use some 600 grit sand paper go up and down the fork leg with it till you get all the factory lines out then run a buffer over them or a polishing wheel on a electric drill and they will polish upi very nicely. You will ned some polishing rouge to do this but it is worth it.
