Stock afr is 14.6-14.7. Very lean to comply with EPA regs.

With an 09 I installed Xieds to richen also installed an oil cooler and lastly I switched to Amsoil and should keep cool.
I too want to keep my bike for awhile.
I think that 2010's have the same 14.7 a/f ratio
$100.00 for the Xieds, $160.00 for the oil cooler (vertical mount 6 row)
Installation $0.00

The TC96 engine is a stroked version of the TC88. Since it is stroked longer there is increased rotational mass to the engine internal components and therefore it generates more heat on what is essentially the same platform as a TC88. The 88's run hot but the 96 engines run really hot. However you should be just fine if you run synthetic 20w50 oil and install an oil cooler. The engine will still run hot but you won't damage it.

Its a bit of a generalisation to say that they run at an AFR of 14.7:1. They do that in closed loop - low throttle openings and cruising. When accelerating and riding fast then its around 12.5-13.5:1.

Same advice applies though. It will run hot, especially around town. If you aren't much interested in hardware or power then, as said, Xieds are an ideal and cheap fix for you.
