RE: Luggage Racks
Hi there,
I've tried quite a few luggage racks on TC88 FXDs and FXRs and IMHO the factory HD racks have performed the best over time. We have tried after market racks by the custom guys, but..........Now I don't know how you'd like to put on a rack on your FXDB, especially if you're riding two up, but I've always found a practical use for a sissy bar to tie bags, bedrolls, swags and even flags to. Just adds a lot of stability to the tie down/tie back pile, especially with side winds and bad roads - I always seem to have a pile of stuff because I need to be away a few days at a time to get anywhere in Oz (and we gotta carry drinking water everywhere).
Also, hate to say it, but for me the bigger the rack the better so something like a two up rack 53713-96 might be the go. Don't know how neatly you could fabricate a bracket onto a stock sideplate for a rack/no sissy bar combo....guess it could be done.......

RE: Luggage Racks
I would say the most popular luggage rack on this site is the motherwell. Below are a couple of pic's. However if you are riding two up, you are out of luck with the motherwell.
