Tank Lift Question

Tank Lift Question
At first, I didn't like the look of tank lifted bikes. Then, when I was installing my Kury fuel gauge, I had my tank propped up while I sorted out the gauge connector. I found that I liked the appearance, especially on a DWG since it already has a chopped look.
So who makes the kits? I saw a J&P Cycles ad for one. Anyone else? I'm not concerned about the gauge reading because they are all over the map anyway and I just rely on the mileage.
Thanks!

RE: Tank Lift Question
well if you have the minimal tools or access to them, you could be the one to make them. I think the WG was a little different then the rest of the dynas butif not look at my album of my lift up close. It was fairly easy and kinda fun to make. ask rudedog he knows the most on the lift and could even help you for a small price. You will like the look!

RE: Tank Lift Question
I did my wideglide about a month ago. It was pretty simple. I would have liked the 3" lift but went with 2" lift. There is a couple of things to watch. If you have steele braided fuel crossover it won't fit any longer. If you have the standard rubber line it will be ok @ 2". The electrical wiring is ok @ 2" If you go 3" you will have to work your way back through cable to get extra length . I think theres enough but you have to cut loose all the way back to fuse panel. You will need to have short length of fuel breather hose to extend it is to short when lifting. I used jp cycle kit. They are too expensive for what you get check rudedogs kit . I love the look You should see at night with light kit installed. Get ready to buy chrome pieces you didn't think you would ever see. Good luck

I thought I read in Rude Dog's post that his kit wouldn't fit the Wide Glide. I need to go back and re-read. If not, I wonder if it's just because of the hoses and wiring. I can extend those.

RE: Tank Lift Question
Gconley dosen't seem to have any major issues with his kit and I believe my kit with the 2 brackets will work on the WG. I have sent out a kit and I'm waiting for a response as to how the installation goes. I'll post the results when I recieve feedback.
