On my FB I have used Meguairs Aluminum wheel cleaner, comes out clean and brings the shine back. Spray them down wipe them with a cloth if they are heavily coated in crude and spray on the cleaner for about 15 to 20 seconds and wash it off. I use it about once a month and now I never need to bend over and use a rag again, it is awesome!! No negative effects yet.

I have a Fat Bob and can tell you that those wheels suck *** big time. I'm getting rid of mine. I'm looking for a set of Fang wheels. Who ever thought of not clearing those wheels and leaving them raw should get hit repeatedly on the head with a frying pan .

I agree that they are a pain in the ***. I have tried everythig. The only polish that I have seen that works is FLITZ. It took all the black spots and oxidation off. AMAZING stuff

Lucy....Ha ha smarty, my post was premature, I accidentally hit the enter key instead of the tab key...on my phone ....what I wanted to say was...what is Flitz, isn't that the as seen on tv stuff that miraculously erases scratches from cars. I've never heard of the stuff until today so I was genuinely curious. and.....if so how many folks actually used the stuff

I sent mine out to be bead blasted and the flats mirror polished some years ago. I was advised to seal the rough cast surfaces so they would just suck up the grime again.

Primes and painted with Dulicolor wheel Paint.
