Default shortening my pipes...?

hey guys i'm curious as to know if i can shorten my python pipes maybe a foot or so and not have too much affect on the bike.. i.e. what happens to run-ability if i shorten them up, or am i better off trying to just find a set of shorter pipes to put on..?

i would like them to end about where the batter box is...

Sounds like a lot of work to make those pipes look just like a set of short shots. I bet you could sell the pythons and get enough out of those to buy a set of pipes that already look how you want.

Short shots are getting real cheap. Sell yours and buy the SS.

i would just cut em and slap some BCT baffles in them... but you can get Short shots really cheap! alot of guys get them cause they want the sound but then the bike is a dog so they get rid of em, you can find them everywhere cheap

well my pipes sound and perform great, i was just looking to shorten them up for the look, but if many people are realizing they don't perform as well, i would rather stick with the length i have....

short pipe = low back pressure = little torque and flat spots
