Question Bates replica headlight

I'm trying to add a Bates replica headlight from V-Twin. Its 4 wires. White, blue, green and yellow. If I take the stock wire plug out of stock headlight will it work properly in with the new one?
I tried the search feature first.

It worked perfect on mine. I used tape and a marker to mark which wire went to which plug. Then just soldered them up and shrink wrapped the wires. No problems at all.

Not sure why the Bates light would have 4 wires ... the wiring diagram for my '05 FXDI only has three wires (white, yellow and black) ... low-beam, high-beam and ground ....

You will probably have to test the new headlight wiring to determine which wire does what ... then mark them and either solder or crimp them to your existing headlight wiring or you could crimp on AMP-type sockets and use the original connector and plug it into the harness ....

[Reviewing the diagram just now, on international bikes, there is a fourth (orange/white) wire for a "position lamp" ....]

A lot of the Bates have a little blue light on top of the housing, in addition to the regular 3 wires. That might be one of them. But I'm just guessing.

Yes there is a small blue light on top of the light. I suppose its a high beam indicator. I didn't get any directions with it and am trying to figure it out.
Found out.
Blue is Hi beam, White is Low beam, Green is Ground and the Yellow is for the high beam indicator light on top of the bucket. I suppose you splice the Yellow to the Blue.
