just my two cents.....I'm with wide glide bob........even if a bike is just laid down sometimes things can get more outtawhack than we'd like to think. 50 bucks is about all it should take to get a good once over and be sure of all you need. Good luck to you, sounds like it'll be a nice gift. No one ever gave me a harley....

 

thanks for all the info, i have a small shop and do alot for parts sales and some fab. this is just my first time with a HD and there are so many models so it gets real tricky. i will call that shop and ask them about a complete setup. does anyone know the tripple stem dia,

The stem diameter should be the same, what changes based on years are the axle sizes. Unfortunately, I can't remember the break down right now by year.
