Default Big Sucker II Kit

I stopped by the indy yesterday and he had a BSII kit on the table for $75, I went through the kit and it was only missing the buttonhead banjo bolts, so I picked it up. I am trying to find out if I can just get new bolts from AN without ordering the whole hardware kit, if not the kits is only $35 and that is still cheaper totaled then the kit is new.

Anyone running this kit or have experience with it. I am trying to figure out what I can use to cover the larger filter. Also, when I install it, will I need to get the bike tuned, I am still running stock pipes and plain on getting it tuned when I get pipes installed (hopefully this summer).

Thanks

Had the same kit, its "okay".....the chrome around the breather holes may start to flake eventually. Anyways, the stock Harley bango bolts will work, just pick some up at the dealer. I had to make due when I snapped one of the Arlen Ness ones, lol. Otherwise, theyre all over ebay for like $10-15 shipped.

As far as I'm concerned you should since it's a high flow a/c you'll be running too lean.

Since you got it in hand can you tell me de diameter of it ? (8 inch ???)

End to end it is 7". I wa s thinking about painting the outside ring black and seeing if a standard insert will fit into the middle covering the holes and getting a pre-filter (rain sock) for those bad days.

The measurements are a little disceiving, but as you can tell from the close up it is 7".

Holy S*** that was fast hahahaha

I've found cover for oven elements theyre cheap and 8 Inches thats why I asked before buying it. The cover for those are in my opinion way to pricey ... A derby cover might fit i'm not sure

I'm in the same situation, I just can't make my mind as for the tuner. I pulled out the baffles of my pipes and waiting for some cycle shacks baffles to come in.
