Default Anyone using a sissybar bag with a shortrail sissybar?

I'd like to carry a sissybar bag on the seat, but I don't want a very tall sissybar. (I'm planning to go with the permanently installed sissybar.) Can anyone tell me if they are using a sissybar bag and how tall the sissybar needs to be? I'm planning to get one of the Harley bags. I'd like to use the "shortrail" sissybar, which is shorter than the "medium low" bar.

Are you talking about a tiny pouch or a barrel bag? Most barrel bags have about a 4" wide strap that wraps around the sissy bar upright, depending on the bags height (mines about 9" high), that strap top could be 6" or so above the seat or rack.

The sissy bar I have is about right for my bag, facing toward the rear and resting on the rack. Something like a tool bag could be fitted to a much shorter sissy bar.
