Default HD LED Turn/Running Light Mirrors... install help?

Hey guys - long time lurker, first time poster...

I just bought an 07 Street Bob and my first mod is to install the black HD Turn Signal Mirrors (thanks Mickey01) as a replacement for the stock blinkers...

While checking the installation instruction I found this:

"The mirrors in this kit are not intended to replace the stock turn
signals. Mirror turn signals will not function properly without
the stock turn signals installed"

oh oh...

I searched and have found a few discussions on installing load equalizers or cutting/splicing wires but nothing definitive. Has anyone successfully replaced their stock blinkers with these bad boys? Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my bike used with these installed, in place of the stock turn sigs. When I changed out my bars, I noticed small circuit boards spliced into the turn sig wires, tucked into the frame neck. I'm assuming these are load equalizers. Personally, I would do as HD suggests and not take off your stock turn sigs. The mirror sigs are fine at night, but not that bright in the daylight. Just my opinion.

Hmm, I was really hoping on cleaning up the front end by removing the stockers... if that isnt advised then these mirrors arent much good to me.

I know it's been done, and have an electrician as a buddy so doing wiring shouldn't be a problem if I can get some tips from the good folks here

I just put these mirrors on my '07 street bob as well. My intent from the beginning was to keep the original turn signals, but move them down on the forks for more visibility. However, I did run a test before hooking the originals back up, and the LED turn signal mirrors did blink at a much faster rate without the originals in place.

Good to know, thanks. It sounds like a load equalizer will be needed!

Would I need to buy a module (I've seen the Badlands III mentioned quite a bit) or would splicing something inline work?

Dropping another $60 or so wasnt something I planned on doing for this mod... Hope I can figure it out soon, I'll be drilling the bars for internal wiring this weekend and powder-coating them next week, be good to have this all mapped out before I start the reassembly

Just a reminder - deburr those holes REAL good so they don't cut your wires!

I didn't do anything when I added mine and they work great, but mine aren't HD ones...
