Better handling, best in rain, maybe a bit better than Dunlop for wear.

I really like the handling of these tires. Stick very well in the corners. One thing though, these tires require higher pressure than most motorcycle tires (check their website for chart). If you dont have the pressure right, the rear tread will wear funny.

Thanks, for the help. I will be ordering a set today!! I can get them (front and rear) from J&P for $270, but I am going to call my stealership and see if they can get them at the same or cheaper price, that way I can get the extra 10% off. But I will check with Dr. V-Twin first to see what he can do.

Just a thought, you might be able to save money on the install if you buy them from the shop installing them.
Some shops will really stick it to you on labor if you don't buy from them, some will install free if you buy from them, so when comparing price find this out first.
If you are installing yourself, then buy the least expensive ones online.
I have used Metzelers for years and have always been very happy with them.

When I was at the dealer the other day I asked them if they would change the tires if I got them online and brought them them there, they said it wouldn't be an issue, labor cost is the same. When I call them later today to see what they can get the Metzelers for I will also conferm there won't be any addtional install cost for not being HD's stock tires. I would take them to a indy, but I only have two here, one won't touch them unless they order them (and no discounts here, guess the economy isn't effecting their biz) and the other has a rep for not doing good work and taking to long to do it!
The work my dealer has done for me in the past is spot-on and I have never had an issue with their workmanship. I just can't see paying anouther $60 bucks for the stock tires from them when I can do better in cost.

Thanks for the advise.

Should you decide to mount the Metzlers your self take heed there a very stiff tire to mount. Over all thats a good thing.
