Kind of a subjective topic like exhausts but I have the Metzler Marathon 200 on the back and a 90/90 up front. I think they are the best motorcycle tires I've ever owned. Rain grooves, pavement snakes, wet roads, all no problem. Watch out for wet leaves though, but I guess that's with all tires!

They do run at a higher air pressure than most other tires and that's a consideration especially if you ride a rigid bike. But you also have to consider the all up weight too. Rigid bikes (or customs in general) are usually lighter than stock bikes so you can probably run the air pressure lower. I'm running 28 in the rear and 30 in the front. I don't yet have enough mileage on them to tell if I'm going to wear early, but no signs of cupping or sidewall issues yet. And if I have to replace them earlier than normal, oh well, that the price I pay.

The 200 is a low profile tire (small sidewall) so I was a bit concerned about the bead failing due to low air pressure, but I mounted these tires myself (with tire irons and a lot of grunting) and there's no way that bead is coming undone, even with no air pressure! LOL!

Just put my new ones on a couple of weeks ago. 100/90 in the front and a 130/65(?) in the rear. Today was my first real ride on them, and I have to admit that they did feel like they rode better than my old Dunlops.

Ordered a set Sunday night.
160-70-17 & 100-90-19
$272 to the door & a $25 credit towards my next order with J&P.

Just waiting for them to arrive, then getting a shop to install them.
I need them badly.

Hope I didn't screw up by getting the 160.

I just ordered mine about 15 minutes ago, I got the same sizes, those are same sizes as the stock tire and the read tire was designed for the SB according to Metzelers upgrade page.

I thought about going with the 110 and 170, but maybe next time, I want to do some more mod work first.

on a regular dyna you can put a 110/90-19 on the front, looks very beefy!

on teh rear I have the 160/70-17, but it looks skinny... lots of room, maybe a 180/60-17 next time.

cheers
