Sometimes, I wonder if the people that publish the catalogue know anything about what they are doing or if the MOCO just likes making things extremely difficult to figure out because alot of their info is WRONG and lacks technical accuracy.

I believe it's because of poor communication skills. Most people don't use words correctly and are to lazy to learn. Most people say "bring" when they mean "take" and don't know the difference between "jealousy" and "envy" to name a couple.

Engineers are notoriously poor writers and they usually are the ones writing the technical or installation instructions.

You are somewhat correct, the engineers poorly write there instructions using techical jargin and then in turn they are given to a techical writter that knows next to nothing about what he/she is writting. This person has to try and figure out what the engineer is trying to get across and then write it so the average person can understand it. I have to deal with this kind of crap on a daily bases.

Anyways, I have a 2010 SB and have this kit installed on it. Came with everything you need to make the conversion. If your bike already runs the turn sigs and STT (Stop, Tail, Turn) lights then you are good to go already as far as the bulbs and lens covers, I don't remeber if you mentioned which bike you have.

Good Luck!!

Obviously I need new bulbs and red lenses. Does HD sell the electronic unit to do this or is this something I could DIY?

I called Chicago HD the #69462-06A has been changed to 69462-06B. Only 10% off from them. Check some other sites on line maybe you can get the kit for a little less. Hope this helps.

Zanotti's. The best prices I have found from an HD dealer online.
