While not having the same problem, I had a similar 'out of my control' experience today. I have a nissan 350z...and I've really taken great care of it since I bought it in 04. I've also added a lot of little goodies..it's really a nice car and it's a blast to drive. So today I'm driving down I-287 in central jersey (to you locals, I was right near exit 1 in Edison)....and I was passing some slower traffic in the left lanes. The road makes a gradual turn to the left, and before I know it, I see a big chunk of a broken truck tire laying in the middle of my lane...you've all seen it before..and god help you if you're on a bike and come up on one of these things. Anyway, I really didn't have the time to swerve to the next lane....or at least I didn't have time to look and then swerve..so I bit it. I braced myself for the hit...and BOOM....it was a good hit. When I finally got off the exit, I saw that I knocked the front chin spoiler loose...I also dented a large plastic cover underneath the car....I think it's just a cover over some metal parts which are under the engine..to tell you the truth, I don't know. And who knows what else has been damaged. I saw something leaking, but it turns out that it was just the air conditioner condensation.
But all this because some azzhole truck blew a tire and now I'm going to have to get things fixed at my expense.

Sorry..just had to vent. Like some others have said..I feel your pain dude.

Sorry that nothing has fixed your problem. I sure hope that your insurance company doesn't give you fits......You have had enough to deal with already. Good luck getting it fixed, I hope all goes well for you. Later.

This sucks man. It sounds to me like you don't have anything "on" your paint, but tiny pieces of paint have been chipped off.
