Dakota Digital Speedo/Tach Installed On My Superglide
P/N MCL-3204,I love this thing,it's truly plug&play,I wanted a tachometer for my bike and gained a comeplete information center.Tach, speedo, odo, dual trip odo's,clock, voltmeter, engine temp, service mileage, hour meter,0-60 time, quarter mile time&speed, gear indicator etc. and you maintain all of your stock functions like security code, trailer mode and diagnostics mode. You must reset your odometer within the first 100 miles to your correct mileage so since I keep a written log book I need to do that and I'm finished.

Maybe I'm a little slow...I saw the same info on Dakota Digital's website. What does that mean, "must reset your odometer within the first 100 miles to your correct mileage..." What does that mean?
I'm really interested in putting this on my 2009 FXDB.

I'm pretty sure it means that you have 100 miles from time of installation (gauge wake up) to set the mileage to the correct miles on your bike. After the 100 mile window has expired you have to contact Dakota to do it. In any case you would want the correct mileage reflected to keep track of service and be in compliance with the title etc.

If you want to reset your odometer to your bikes current correct mileage you must do so within the first 100 miles. After that you can't change it you will simply keep accruing miles.I wrote down the miles on my stock speedo and will change the Dakota to the same mileage to simplify and match my maintenance log. It's a no big deal thing,if your bike has 5500 miles on it for instance just change the Dakota to 5500 miles, save it and your finished.I'm assuming the 100 mile window is to prevent some dishonest person or dealer from resetting the miles(lower) as a selling point.
