I've just never felt a need for one on my Dyna. I did put a steering stabilizer on my KTM dirt bike (though a lot less obtrusive) to deal with hitting off angle logs and the like, but so far I'm content without one on my Harley.
If you have a specific problem with your bike's handling, just tell us what it is. It might be a simple fix. Dyna's are one of the best handling bikes of the line-up, but can be made better.
If you have a particular problem, just describe it. Some of us have been there, too. If you are getting head shake on a Dyna, when nobody else is, a steering damper would just be a band-aid to another probem that you need to address.

Have to admit I am scratching my head a little as to why you'd need one on a Dyna (or a harley for that matter).
Most steering issues/wobbles etc can be resolved from good advice on here or your dealer/trusted Indy, or a little creative thinking.
If you have prob so sever that you consider a steering damper setup, then you should be thinking of putting the bike in the shop first to diagnose the issue.
I can understand one of these on a Buell or a sporty perhaps, but I think it would be overkill on a Dyna.

I have one on my bike, make sure you get all the matching clamps for installation. I have a steering damper. A steering damper is a damping device designed to inhibit an undesirable, uncontrolled movement. I just feel safer with it on the Bike. Just like not using a plug tire. I need no movement in my front wheel at high speed. I love the way it works. you can adjust the damping my turn the **** at the end.
