Default 2001 fxdwg rear wheel spacers

replaced the rear tire with a 140 and was wondering what is the placement of the spacers? cause it seems to be rubbing on the left side of the fender while the right side has a a larger space to the fender????? don't have the manual yet Thanks

thanks buzzard....I have a spoke wheel but I'm sure its the same just 2 spacers with the skinnier spacer going next to the caliper and the fatter one on belt side...just not sure why the rire would rub and not be centered on the top of the fender.

Is it rubbing on fender mounting bolts? My memory is bad but when I did mine I think I had to reverse the position of the fender mounting bolts to provide for sufficient clearance....

Fitted a Fatboy wheel to my FXDWG (98) this afternoon and have the same issue, super tight on pulley side and opposite on disc side. Guessing its operator error - have I somehow got the spacers in wrong?

On my 03 Wide Gide,,, The rear tire is not perfectly centered in the fender when correct... That one looks a little more off than normal though...

Now that I think about it. On mine , which must be different,,There is no way you could mount the rear wheel,,off of where it is supposed to be,, because the brake caliper is mounted to the swingarm..

Indeed, it quite odd as disc and pulley seem to line up. Will pull the wheel again today and refit stock one to make sure all spacers etc are correct and report back.

So pulled the fatboy wheel and slid in the OEM FXDWG wheel in without pulley and disc. It too is not centred too with the centre line of the rear fender falling on the right hand side of the rim tape. Cant help but think Im doing something stupid. Have both short spacers in against the oil seal on each side and long spacer on left side as per manual. Found this thread as OP had same issue by the looks of it.
