+1 you should come out ahead. If you mod your bike then will be a hassle if you ever want to change seats again. Could try the for sale section here and then ebay.

Looks to be a stock solo for a Street bob.

What will i need to do to make this seat fit my bike, i am pretty handy with tools.
That sucks! ..... but usually the first thing out of the sellers mouth at a Swap Meet is " That's exactly what it came off of ". Cut your losses ... and it to the " If I only knew then what I know now" column and motor on. Good Luck!

Best to buy a new seat and sell the one that wont fit...you can easily get your money back and then some.

Some sound advice right there from uncle larry...I also agree that posting it here in the classifieds or eBay would at least get your money back....$40 is really cheap for a seat.

As for mod'ing the frame to fit the seat; this will only bring bigger problems later when you change seats again. Changing the seat to fit the bike only devalues the seat and you're out $40...and have a headache from trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole...now the latter idea is the best way to attempt to make the seat fit...but it is your $40..not mine.

Good Luck. Keep us posted...

Here's my best understanding about seatson most late model Dynas. 99-03 will generally fit, 04-05 in a world of their own and 06> again changed. Buyer beware, list on E-bay or even here and keep an ear out for one that will fit.

+3 or 4 on selling it and getting the correct seat for it elsewhere.
