Take it for a ride.

Get the pipes hot.

Get a lolly stick or something similar like a smooth wooden ruler..

Rub the stain with the afore mentioned items untill the stain is removed

Then buff with polish..

Regards..

One more option. Melted a polyester strap on my black pipes once. When I got home and the pipes were still hot, used a clean cotton t-shirt, without any printing on it, to wipe the pipe down. That got most of it off. Then went inside and grabbed the easy off while it was still hot and got the rest of the residue off.

I use a new Razor blade and cut off the burned on stuff, then clean the chrome with a polish.

Try a Magic Eraser and warm water, rub hard,it works well for stubborn stains on my porcelain range top and it worked great on my primary cover(boot heel marks).

Thanks everyone. Oven cleaner worked great. Got the generic brand at the dollar store and it came right off.

Glad to hear you were able to get the pipes cleaned. Those are a great set of pipes. My brother is rocking them on his bike and I love the way they sound and look. How about posting some pics so we can see how they look!!!

Yes, they are a great set of pipes, I was very impressed with the sound and quality. Much better than the stock pipes. I'll take some pics in the next few days and post them.

Yep. Most any oven cleaner will work as long as it doesn't say "No Fumes" or "Fumeless" on the can.
