How do I release this clutch cable to install my new cable? It seems like it should pop out of the clip but I cant figure it out.

 

Get yourself a pair of nose pliers to grab the retaining ring and take it out....Now you will be able to take off the clutch cable fom the inner ramp.

I actually figured it out as soon as I walked away from the computer. But thanks bud. The damn suicide shift is stuck on and I have to ride down to my dads shop tomorrow and cut it off. Other than that its good to go...well I need to adjust the clutch. But that's it.
