Just a thought, you may want to go to a boat shop and get a marine application switch. Hate it when a little water shorts a switch out. Looks good, let us know about the way they work at night.

No problem. Since he doesn't grind the pegs he should be fine but with the set up I posted for you I can assure you they don't hit. Cause I'm a peg dragger....lol!! If you hit the sigs/lights with my set up you definitely have bigger problems.

I did something similar by mounting to my highway pegs. I had a little bracket tack welded and bought some $20 Wal Mart driving lights. Worked great for about a month, really helped at night. Then the bulbs burned out. Changed the bulbs and those worked great til the switch failed and I tore the rubber gasket off the back.

I like the concept, but the quality in $20 lights is lacking. I did buy another set of the lights and intend to change the bulbs/switch/wires and do a better job this time around.

But those are $85 for two. If you found a bright set for $25 total....I'd like to know.

I got the same pair tonight at my local O'Riellys <sp> for $17.95 "Radiant Effects" by Blazer. Part Number Re770R, 20-3726-6. Bar Code 28845 50770

Hope that helps

Well sure, but these are $25 lights. OTOH, looks like SteveO got them for $17.95. Doh!

It won't surprise me if they don't hold up long, but I'm hoping that these will work out. I'm sure he'll go back with better stuff if needed, but for $25, it's worth a shot.

Sure they are not $299 production style lights, although if they break it won't hurt the cost ratio factor at all........ Hey they also have 35 watt bulbs in them, you can always change them out for 55 watt bulbs if you like.
I tested one last night in my apartment which I totally blacked out, and just one bulb lit up the whole living room no problem at all.

I will experiment with them and if I decide I do not like them down the road I am not out anything to speak of. Shoot Fuzzy most of us waste that much buying BS we don't even need, just because it's by the check-out counter at the stores (I've read that somewhere).

Most people (no I am not one) spend anywhere from $54 to $100 a month just to stay connected via electronic Dawg Leashes known as Cell Phones because it is popular in society to day.

ps: and they will "Minimalize~Rationalize~Justify that behavior

Found this old thread and thought I would update. The cheapo lights are still working like a charm, even though they never did help light up the road at night all that much. But his #1 priority was being seen, and they definitely do that job well.
