problem solved with racks on street bob
ok here is the problem you get when mounting a motherwell rack to your dyna. it will move side to side very easly. the problem comes from the hole on the front of the rack its not big enough for fender nut to pass through so you rack sits on top of fender nut instead of fender making it very easy to bend side to side. ok now for the solution. what you have to do is bore the holes in rack big enough that the fender nut will pass through rack this is the only way rack will rest completely sit down on fender.
if you do this you will eliminate sway in you rack.
wonder what the manufacter was thinking
oh well hope this helps someone.

RE: problem solved with racks on street bob
I actually mounted my rack on top of the seat tab. I have the matte black rack and did not want to scratch off the powder coat by placing the seat tab on top of the rack tab. Plus, I figured I'd rather have a little rocking in the rack than with the seat.

RE: problem solved with racks on street bob
Had the same prob on two different racks, didn't think about drilling the hole bigger, but wanted to protect the fender anyway.Just sandwiched an o-ring of the proper diameter for the rack to rest on and it eliminated the wiggle in the rack when compressed.
Good Luck
