Can beat this pipe for the $ spend only thing that would make it better for me would be better low rpm tourque.
Fuel Moto is putting out a 2-1 this year? Any idea when?? From the video's that I have heard, they seem very reasonable (loudness) and seem to still put down good numbers on FL bikes.

Pretty sure its mid year but I can be wrong, I have never used FM but have my eye on their 107 kit and their rep is impeccable on the touring secction. I have been discussing the 107 lately with them. Give them a call and see what timing he is planning.

I was planning on the 107 kit myself. But I found a new 103 kit for $505 shipped. Just couldn't pass it up.

Love DennisKirk discounts - they have awesome clearance deals. I bet the last two get gobbled up pretty quick after this post...

I got my D&D 2-1 pipes from Dr. V-Twin. Awesome sound. Really deep sound at idle and great sound when I crack the whip.

That's an awesome price for the Bubs!

It "felt" as though I may have lost a little hp and gained a little off idle torque. Won't know for sure until I finish my build and get it tuned. To give you an example, I can now hear the intake over the exhaust slightly during WOT with the quiet baffles. That is with a TC96 with TW-555 cams, SE intake, full 2-1 exhaust. I am in the middle of a 103ci, head port build right now. We'll see if it gets any louder.

To remove the baffle, there are 2 button head allen screws on the inside next to the swingarm. I grinded down an allen wrench so I wouldn't have to remove the can to get access. Pretty painless depending on age of pipe I am sure. I would suggest a "little" red lock tight on the bolts that mount the can to the rear bracket while you are there. I lost a bolt not long after I installed them. Haven't had any problems since I installed a "LITTLE" red.

Hope this helps.
Thanks, I'll add them to my J&P order.

Let me know what you think of the quiet baffles. I think that to most traditional riders, it will be too quiet. I like it though.

Not long fitted the Bub 2-1's. Not quite as tuff sounding as the Rinehart 2-2's, but definately picked up some low-mid range torque.
They had a slight raspy sound, so I wrapped the baffle, and now they have a really low bass rumble. Really quiet at idle, but loud when you grab the throttle.

Would it be necessary or recomended to tune my bike again, when going from a stage one with slip ons to the bub 2 to 1.
