Default How do my spark plugs look?

I have 3500 miles on my engine and i just pulled the plugs to check them out... to me it looks like the engine is running lean... whats your opinion? and does it look like it could be a dangerous lean? although the engine runs great...

front cylinder...

rear cylinder...

^^^ Agreed - they look factory lean. You want to see a light tan color with no cracking or deposits.

If you plan on keeping the bike basically stock, a set of DYN OiED's will fix you up.

Or spend the cash on a tuner, but checking your plugs isn't always the best way to tell if your running right.

???? These factory lean bikes have been around for more then 5 years now. I have still not seen a single post saying anyone has had an engine failure do to lean conditions of a stock bike. If it runs good and you like it stock, leave it alone.

Yep--- with the gas used nowadays (unleaded), looking at the plugs is just a slight ballpark reading. Almost all plugs will be that light color. I went 2 jet sizes bigger and my plugs still look white like yours, however, it does run a lot stronger now that i am in tune with the bigger pistons, cams and exhaust but the plugs look the same as before

Do you have a tuner or just pipes? They look lean to me.
