I'm 5'10 210lbs with a huge *******...

I didn't like the mid controls on the Street Bob when I bought it but then again I was used to the forward controls on the Sportster I had before. The mid controls were giving me a cramp so I got forward controls for the Street Bob and they are perfect.

I am 6' 225 lbs with a teeny tiny shlong.

I demoed the 2010 FXD at the dealer and I felt very cramped on the bike. I bought the bike and added forward controls and the bike fits me well. I also bought the Saddleman solo Renegade seat and it sat me more in the bike with great comfort. I am looking to add the the stock Bob bars or the 12" or 14" Burly Narrow Glide Apes. I am very happy now and I ride around with a huge *******! Like a pig in a blanket

Yep the cut off is 5'9" 180 lbs.

However the cut off for 'goofy thread titles' is 6'12", so your OK there...

Damn I cracked up when I came across that reply.

No offense to the OP, but I've never considered someone thats 5'10" tall...let alone too tall. There's plenty of taller riders on dynas, so I doubt that's it. Granted, as others have stated...if its not for you, its not for you. Don't get a bike you'll regret. FWIW, I'm over 6'3" and my superglide fits me like a glove. Perhaps its just an adjustment phase for you. I've owned all sorts of bikes, and sometimes going from one to the next can take a bit of adjusting to. Then again, I also had the dealer put forward controls on the bike before i even took it home. Perhaps you should test drive another dyna that's there with forward controls to give you an idea. That's what i did. Then I went back to the superglide I liked and just put the same forwards on it. Gotta admit, I'm all legs...so I looked a bit silly with the mid controls.

The point is, a Dyna (or any Harley for that matter) is almost infinitely reconfigurable, as my engineer cousin would say.

In other words, it can be changed to fit almost any rider except for a midget or an NBA center.

If you aren't comfortable on a stock bike, that really doesn't mean anything. Just fix it.

You'll be fine. I'm 5'9, 180 and this bike fits great. Get some highway pegs to stretch out every once in a while and you can ride all day.

That's a pretty close description of me, and I was very comfortable on a superglide I used to own. But that had a lot to do with the forward controls, I think. If I bought another cruiser that's the first option I would add.

+1 I'm 5 11 and my wide glide is fine, if want more leg room you can always put forward controls on it for few $100 but it comes down to your comfort

No offense but 5'10"<tall. I'm 6'6" which is on the other side of tall and ride a Fat Bob with forwards. I do have extensions in the garage waiting to be put on, but I'm not really uncomfortable with it the way it is. I can't see you being too tall for it, but if it's not comfortable then it's not comfortable and you need to look at either modifying it or going with the RKC. I'm pretty sure that you will find just as much or more room on the dyna with forwards than you will on the RKC. In my opinion the dyna really isn't a smaller bike, it just comes a little leaner from the factory is all.
