Default Advice on lowering front end.

I am about to pull the trigger on buying a lowering kit for my Bob. I have done many searches and read many reviews on lowering kits. I have decided that I'd like to lower the rear with the 10.5" Burly shocks but I'm on the fence regarding the front. Would you guys recommend the Burly or Progressive Drop-In kit?

I read one post that said the Burly kit isn't really a drop in kit and some disassembly is required (for Dynas). Can anyone verify this? It also appears that the spacer in the progressive kit is "as-is" where the Burly spacer is adjustable by cutting.

Any input regarding these two lowering kits would be appreciated.

The Burly slammer kit is a drop in. Takes about 1 hour. Remember to adjust your fork oil.

depending on your budget they will all work, i lowered my rear using 11in prog, but went with the race tech with the gold modul, you can lower it way down if you want it its the best out there not cheap if you want h.d they have lowering springs 100 bucks

go with the progressive drop in kit. i cant speak for the burly but i think they are the same. i know progressive makes burly so ucant go wrong, but he progressive comes with a pvc spacer that you can cut down. the spacer can be anywhere from 1/2 an inch to like 3 and a 1/4. i cut mine down to 1/2 inch to match up with my burly 10.5s in the back

One I would def not raise your legs above the tree's looks like *** and its ghetto... Second Burly sucks worst shocks out there and progressive isnt the best either I have them and the worst thing I did was put those shocks on the rear... As for there front springs they are a bit better. Alot of guys just want to get that slammed look but dont realize they are totally taken the entir performance away from the bike it self I mean no one is draggin knees out there with a Dyna but you still want the bike to ride good and corner well.. I would really look into Racetech for front springs or Works Ohlins.. For rear shocks I would really go with Ricor which you can get in a 11 inch.

Cant do it on a 2010 street bob. You would have to get a different upper triple tree and some risers to move the bars up, otherwise they are in the way. And when you see the spring and spacer that comes factory from harley, you will want to get rid of it anyways.

This is the guy who I bought my kit from. It was the cheapest I could find.

Thanks for the input guys. I decided to keep the 10.5" Burly shocks in the rear and went with the Progressive Drop-In kit for the front. Can't wait to put these on.

On a side note, I'm also waiting for my new dash and ignition to get here from Zanotti's!
