The 204's are good. I advanced my 37's +4* for more bottom end and it's just right now, they're about the same as 204's except I put in the non roller SE 1.725 rockers for a .541 lift. You can look at dyno sheets and see where certain bagger cams fall off early.

Been looking really hard at the 204's....or the 54's. Both have a great following!

Mine is a 2009 FLHX, so I know I don't NEED to go with a geared cam to extend the life of the motor and prevent the tensioners from tearing up. And my dealer acknowledges this problem was fixed on the new TC96.

The issue is whether a geared cam would improve performance and eliminate backlash. I take it you are saying the geared cam would not necessarily be an improvement in performance.

I'm not a mechanic or an authority on this, but I did do a lot of research before I had my cams installed. From all of the information I learned, nobody told me that I'd be better off with gear driven cams. So I don't believe you'd have any more performance simply because you used them.

Me either. First time I ever heard that, so I thought I'd bounce it of you guys.

THANKS for the feedback.
