What unit are you with? I was Ops Alpha and Air Ops for 271.
It's Jville. I'm with 2nd EOD Co

T-Dub. I'm surprised you can get yours out. Maybe I have my heat shields on a little differently. When I put them on I thought maybe I missed something in the instructions. I called Vance and Hines and they said that all of their pipes fit tight with not much clearance but with the Big Radius there is none. I tried one of the LCD dipsticks but the stupid piece of junk fried from being so close to the pipe after maybe a month or so.

Fatbob, I have the same pipes. Even though I have a SB the setup should be the same and I don't have a problem either... it is a bit tight and I have to wear gloves when the bike is hot so as not to get burned, but it comes out without any problems... hmmmm

Oh my pre-ride check... well since I ride it every day I don't do much but check it out when walking up to it, feel how it responds as I sit on it and how it feels when I back it out of the garage. Then, just head out. Check the oil before any long ride and any time I really think about it. That's about it...

might check the air pressure once every couple of months...check oil every couple of thousand miles. if it will roll out of garage-it is good to go.

I don't have a ritual other than to see how it handles as I roll it out of the garage and also when I'm cleaning it off the night before a ride. I check the air once a month, that's a real pain with the back wheel the way it is.

Creditcard-Driver License, kick the rubber, googles, gloves, helmet if I cross the river to Michigan, stay in Wisconsin no bucket, I like Wisconsin. Upon return spend time with a beer, and tinker with the machine for the next run.

I just start it up and ride most of the time.I do my scheduled maintenance on time and change the tires when they get bald. And I clean my air cleaner when I change the oil.I wonder how many people "preflight" thier car before they drive it?

I am a slob. If it works I go. If it doesn't I stay home. I do check that it is my bike that I'm getting on. Darn things all look alike.
