Hey everyone. I was thinking about putting a single seat on my 09 FatBob. I was just curious if anyone has done this and which one you may have went with and if you like it? I would love to see pics too! Thanks !

 

I've used both a lepara bare bones and a mustang tripper solo. You will need to move the seat nut from on hole on the fender to another pre-drilled hole and snap in a plug to cover the unused fender hole, perhaps use a so called solo nut kit, otherwise straight forward.

Seat comfort is a personal judgement. The lepara is more stylish but only good for an hour or so, a little longer with an air hawk. The mustang also looks good, is a little taller, and good for a few hours. There are more comfortable but thicker/wider seats, any solo seat would fit OK.

 

a few choices you can go with. i found a street bob seat on ebay for pretty cheap and go back and forth with the stock seat for two up. It looks ok and goes on with little trouble. Sorry no pics, the bike is in the US, I'm not. anyway, that's a cheap way to do it.

 

I had the solo wide glide seat on before I bought this LaPera bare bones. Love this seat but when I get on it I tend to slide back a few inches. Thinking of trying the bare bones up front. I would recommend the bare bones.

I bought a 2010 streebob seat used off this site.

 

I bought a seat and pass. seat off of a member here off a super-glide. Installed another stock seat bolt with plastic clip and can use the pass. seat or the solo with no problems. I love the solo seat look and it's more comfy than the stocker.

I have the LePera Silhouette. Love the look. As for comfort, It's good for all day rides with the usual gas and food stops.

 

I have the HD distressed leather solo. Looks good. Feels good enough if you stretch every 100 miles or so.
