Hi all,

Is there a retro style bolt-on, or almost bolt-on, tail light with license plate mount under the light for an '08 Street Bob?

This is the style I'm looking for:


I'm prepared to splice the wires, but I dont want to drill or cut in the fender.

 

You could see a machine shop about making an adapter ... a plate with a small 'footprint' that would sit between the fender and the light with both bolt patterns ... that way it wouldn't require any modification to your fender ... could be painted to match either the fender or the light to make it less noticeable ....

Just an idea ....

I like that light, too ... I am doing a tombstone on a full (old-style, traditional) fender ... but, I am thinking I'll bob my original fender to have a 'convertible' option ... I think that would be a cool alternative to a 'sparto' / limp dik tail light and license plate setup ....

Be sure to post up your 'solution' or some photos of what you end up doing with your tail lamp ....

That's an interesting look! I'm thinking of putting the tombstone taillight on mine. If I do I'll post a photo!
