Default Upgrading 07' Street Bob suspension?

I am a fan of aggressively zipping through the twisties where ever and when ever possible. Anybody have any experience adding a fork brace and/or Progressive shocks and springs on a bike similar to my 07' Street Bob? I don't want to lower it. I'd hate to spend hundred's of dollars for just a negligible improvement in sporty handling. Any experience out there?

Don't know what kind of tires you are running, but I went with new Metz's and they grip better than the stock Dunlops...instantly allowed me to corner more aggressively.

Something to think about...

I run Progressive fork springs and the heavy duty 12.5" Progressive 412's on my Street Bob and I ride the wheels off the thing.

No clearance issues at all. Before, with oe shocks, the exhaust would ground out all the time.
No doubt there are better shocks out there but I find them excellent value for money and so much better than stock.

Had them on my last Dyna too and put them on this one as soon as I had the cash.

I tried Progressive 440's on my 07 SB and they fell way short of what I wanted. Got a pair of 12.5" Ohlins set up for how I ride and they are outstanding. Put Avons on when the stockers wore out, another huge difference. Also installed the Progressive front end springs, not the lowering kit, and they help out a lot. I never felt the need for a fork brace but I can see doing some further mods to the forks in the future.
