would like your opinion...

OK, I think a gloss black pulley would totally not work on your bike. Theres way to many satin components close to it. The primary, coil cover, motor and belt guard. No, I think going gloss black would be a mistake. I think even a 50 dollar chrome pulley cover would look better than a gloss black pulley. It would just stick out funny. Of course, its just my opinion, and you know what they say about those.
i'm gonna buy gloss black derby and timing covers to replace the finned and stock ones i have now, and to tie the gloss black in more, so there's going to be gloss black on the primary to break up the wrinkle.
the belt guard worried me, until i realized i'll probably just pull it off to see more wheel anyway.
also, if you notice, my bike is all wrinkle on gloss/gloss on wrinkle.
just check out the dash/tank/badges setup and the battery band on the battery cover and the trim piece on the fusebox cover.

I took mine off then put them back on after noticing that the pulley looked like it was getting abraded from road sand/dirt. To clean it up a bit I altered the lower belt guard. I matched the radius of the pulley, trimmed the bottom so its level with the bottom of the belt, and cut out some of that triangle.
