Well I got an e-mail last night stating that the Metzeler 170 was not in stock and they did not have a firm date for delivery so they cancelled my order. So I went to Zanotti's and ordered the 180. We will see how this goes. I am stuck riding on days that I know there is no chance of rain. And being Southern Illinois that is not always exact.
I am not getting the kit as I already have sideplates for the sissybar and there are no bolts or wires in the way. Should just mount right up.

On the 180 kit. Since i had the turn signals relocated earlier they did not need the kit. I guess if you have turn signals in their stock location they need the kit. No clue what the kit does.

I replaced my stock k591 160 70 17 after 7,700 miles, it wasn't to thhe wear bars, but it was close and winter is approcking and i didn't want to get cought in the rain with am almost worn out tire. I put on a Dunlop 160 70 17 D205, it's Z rated and a Radial as apposed to the k591 which was V rated and bias ply. The D205 is a Crotch rocket touring tire that i got over at the local crotch rocket shop for $104.70, and the mounted it and balanced it while i waiting for free. The place i went to is called Cal Coast Motorsports and is in Ventura Ca. This tire is a way more superior tire then the stock k591. It takes about 20 miles to get used to it cause it's really light in the turns. It feels better over bumps and i can go around the windy mountian roads at least 10 mph faster and it feels way better in the turns. I highly recommend this tire, and i plan on getting one for the front as well when the back is worn out next time.

I received the wide tire kit from the dealer, besides the tire, it has a couple of brackets to relocate the rear turn signal wires.

Relocate them from where to where? Can you describe? I have the WG rear fender on my Bob now, so am wondering what I will need when I go to the 180.

THANKS!

My 180 tire comes in tomorrow. I should have it installed by Saturday morning. I will let you know how it goes.
I am not using the kit.

I am mostly curious as to how the WG differs from the other Dynas.

I'm guessing it has to do with the wiring conduit. Even so, the conduit is on top, so dunno how that would be affected by tire width.

HD it reroutes the blinker wires alittle. I would say if you have the 180 rear tire and it doesn't look like it will rub the wireing, your ok. I don't have a scanner or I'd copy the instruction sheet. Eric

Having a bitch of a time getting the rear wheel off. The axle will not budge. Did everything in the service manual. Hell I tried everything short of holy water. May have to take it to a shop tomorrow when the tire gets here.[:@]
