You have no idea why they put a chrome horn cover on? Because they know some idiot will spend 100 bucks on a horn cover instead of 10 bucks on sandpaper and paint to get the same result. Sorry, dont mean to be a dick but I hate seeing people allowthemselves to be ripped off. I painted my horn cover, derby cover, fork lowers, air cleaner, and heat shields for a total of 3 cans paint, 1 can primer and 5 bucks worth sandpaper and my work looks just as good as the powder coat or harley **** ive seen. Its all in the prep and your ability.

I think my horn cover was 34 bucks! Ya i tried to dand one of the blinkers and used echted primer than painted,, but it comes off with a finger nail really light?

Ya i ran across a great deal so i had to buy it,,i love the black look also!!! Ya its been awhile,,dam work

Sand off the chrome, wipe clean with rubbing alcahol, then two coats primer and then two coats paint and seal with a coat of flat or satin clear coat. Thats how i did it and i got 14k miles on my bike since and **** still looks great.
