I think what is trying to be said is that the pipes are being SUPER heated and not allowed to have the air properly cool the metal, and depending on the quality/thickness of the header pipe, it could crack in a matter of weeks or last a few years. But...it is pretty much going to happen eventually due to having the heat trapped in the metal by the wrap. This can be even worse for the guys that don't have properly tuned bikes...that are running lean.
While I do agree it looks great and I would do it, just a risk that should be noted.
