I checked mine after coming across this thread...900 miles so far and no cuts. Maybe Dunlop produced a bad batch?

Dunlop sent me a new tire. Not under warranty, under "goodwill". Not sure what that means but they still sent me the tire. They took responsibility for their product...

It means they still keep you happy without having to file the tire as having a defect. less tires filed as defects the better for them.

Either way you get a new tire.

Was there ever a correlation found between production date and "tire slicing"?

doesn't matter who made them, there have been some dealers that are willing to replace them under warranty (or at least at minimal cost to the consumer).

Some car companies will warranty even wear items for the first 3 years, clutches and brake pads included. It all comes down to finding a dealer who actually cares to make their customers happy.

My slicing hasn't gotten nearly as bad as some of the bikes posted, I'm most likely going to upgrade to a different tire. I don't want it replaced with the same tire that's going to slice again at 500 miles.

The Harle Davidson Michelin tires that I got on my 2010 street bob are damn good. I have started to notice a little wear on the back tire(6500 miles). I have about 50% tread left on the rear and 60% in the front.

Is it OEM size?
purchased a ND MH90H-21- seems pretty close, might be a tad wider than the OEM
