Does this dealer have any more? What is the part number? Evidently there are 4 different baffle designs. Quiet, Loud, Big Boar louvered and Big Boar wrapped. And which the heck one do I/you need?
*Gary
Thanks for this picture Senior. I have the yellow CVO also and wandered what the black pipe would look like. If only they could put a black chrome finish on the pipe. Question. Is the system you have an upswept version and could you give me the part number. With that info I think I can finally make a decision.
Thanks,
Gary
Mine is straight. It's a great pipe. I have the quiet baffle which means its wrapped. Plenty loud though when you rock the throttle.
Try Dr. VTwin.
I ordered mine from Dr Vtwin. They know everything you need to know. The one for the Fat Bob is different than the others so make sure they know its for the FB.
Called D&D and for the CVO 110 engine they recommend the "Big Boar wrapped" version. How loud is yours' VA?
Gary
The baffles are as follows
Concentric = quiet baffle for 96 inch engines stage I
Perforated = just what it indicates, loud baffle
Wrapped Perforated = performs almost identically to the perforated but about 15% quieter (D&D's description when I ordered the Boss Fatcat for my Stage II 103 that is in my 2010 Street Glide). When I first heard this pipe after riding the bike with the stock 2-1 I was a little concerned, but now a year later I would say I hardly even notice it much.
