Last summer we rode through the Altamont pass windfarm in N. CA. It is the largest windfarm in the world (as far as number) with over 4,000 of them scattered across the hills. Here is a pic of me on that weekend. The pic was not originally taken to show off the turbines but they are in the background.

I used to work for Vestas (the company name printed on the side of those turbines) as a technician. Got a few pics to share myself, although they don't include my bike. I traveled around the country for a few years working on them:
