Mine did the same thing on my 08 Bob. My 07 Low Rider so far has stayed put. I was thinking about lifting it up ad putting a dab of silicone on it and pushing it back down or the other option was to get a new one from the stealership. I finally did solve the problem... I let a Toyota SUV make a left turn into me and total the bike.....Problem Solved.....

Trust me, it wasn't my first choice.... We ( The Wife and I )only got a little banged up.....That was the first new bike I ever owned, made the final payment in February, 2010 laid to rest June 28th 2010. Luckily it didn't take to long to get back in the saddle and my insurance co. paid for every last nut and bolt I put on her. But back to your post, I would try the silicone as it should do the trick... Good luck....

A smear of silicone will keep it in place O.K, not too much of course as you may need to take it out at some time.
Would be less painfull then the SUV route, thats a painfull way to fix a rattle!
Mine popped up a started to rattle half way through a 5 day ride, I just kept pushing it back down for the rest of the trip and fixed it when home.
