Default Hinged Shovel fender install. UPDATE!

I recently bought this Shovelhead style hinged rear fender off ebay after being very unhappy with the piece of junk I bought from Debrix (see sig pic). It is sold as a Shovelhead fender for 73 and up FX and FXR's. Its 7 inches wide and amazingly heavy and thick metal. Its probably triple the weight and strength of that Debrix pile of a$$. Much to my surprise its a direct bolt on other than drilling your own mounting holes. What's also nice is because of its large size I was able to ditch my lowering blocks and drop the fender to exactly where I liked it. Anyways, I just wanted to post up some progress pics as I plan to prime it tomorrow and paint it Saturday. With luck I'll get it on the bike Sunday or Monday and post up some more finished pictures. Not everyone likes bulked up Dyna's, but I'm interested in opinions either way as well as suggestions.

That's going to look great, much better than what you had on there.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased so far. Can't wait to see it black. I figured ackman would appreciate it since your running almost the same one on your ride. I am thinking SURFORCHOP is probably next in line for one on his bike.

Looks awesome. The hinged, Shovelhead fender is the best looking fender that Harley ever made. Between that fender and the springer, you have an awesome Dyna.
