Default Fat Bob wheel swap

I ws out in the garage doing some measuring.

It looks like my 09 17in Electra Glide front wheel will bolt right on my misses 08 Fat Bob.

My FLHT is at the shop getting chrome fork lowers and laced WWWs today.

I think sometime this month I will peal her wheels off and try the FLHT wheels.

Has anyone given this a try?

It would not surprise me in the least to learn that a Touring front wheel would fit the Fat Bob ... with the dual discs and wide forks, should be pretty doggone close if not spot on ... would think that the most that might need would be spacers (but maybe not even) ....

I measured rotor to rotor on the front. They look the same to me.

Both rears are 16x5.

I have heard of an FL front end on an FX but would love to know if the wheel would swap right over to the fat bob. I want to take the ultra hub and lace a 21x3.5 rim to it.

Did some more measuring. I think the fronts are spot on. The rear is a no-go. My 09 FLH hub is almost an inch wider than the 08 FatBob hub. There isnt enough leeway to make it up with shorter spacers on the drive side, maybe on the brake side.

Back to the drawing board.

Rotor to rotor on the front looks to be the same. Both rear wheels are 5in wide but the touring wheel has a much wider hub, especially on the pully side.

To line the pully up the wheel looks like it would be offset to the right about an inch. There isnt enough axle spacer on that side to make up that inch or so difference.
